Dr.Shaun Marsh has joined Lorain County Community College’s international initiative. Marsh has come to LCCC experienced with working nationally and internationally. Marsh has worked in South Korea teaching English. He also has a master’s in adult education.
When asked what his goals are for the international initiative, he said, “The international office has gone through some shift and seeing the legacy of those who retired. I want to expand on what was offered before.” He wants to give opportunities to students coming into and others looking to go abroad. He also wants to get connected with the community and fulfill Lorain County Community College’s mission with engaging with the community.
Dr. Brenda Pongracz, dean of the arts and humanities, stated, “I’m excited for the experience Dr. Marsh had brought and I think he will be a great fit for the institution.” Pongracz hopes to see more partnerships added to our current ones with Denmark, France, China, and England.
Marsh and Pongracz both hope to see more students from abroad and more LCCC students studying abroad. Marsh said, “I’m very appreciative that I’ve been welcomed into Lorain County Community College with high enthusiasm and high expectations. I have come into a very warm community that has a lot of consideration for students and employees.”
