Take Five

By Mitchell Lockey

Online Editor

Breakfast will be served up alongside some tasty tips for small to medium sized businesses in Lorain County.
The Take Five breakfast series invites local businesses to learn how to tackle specific problems that can impact their employees, budget, and safety. Topics include employee disloyalty, social networking and its affect on Human Resources, protecting the businesses from fraud, and many other topics.

The series is completely free and includes breakfast and coffee. Everyone is welcome to attend, but the main focus will be on educating businesses owners.

The first event will take place from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 27 at the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center on LCCC's campus. Topics being covered will include employee disloyalty, departures and unfair competition, and protecting business assets. Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of America’s three largest labor and employment law firms, will lead the event.

The series will continue once a month until June. A full calendar listing each session available can be found on the Take Five breakfast series page (located under At Work for Business after clicking the Business/Industry tab).
Those interested in attending must register by visiting the Take Five breakfast series page or by calling 440-366-4274.
